version 1.0, 2 Sept 2001: initial release
version 1.0.1, 4 Sept 2001:
- fixed fatal exception which occurred when deleting a log from
the main form (when no log was open).
version 1.0.2, 9 Sept 2001:
- fixed up the timing for the CW Sender, so that the CW speed
list entries actually result in speeds which are close to
accurate.
version 1.0.9, 16 Jan 2002:
- fixed up an error with items on the Edit menu.
- changed to bigger fonts in the log entry and editing windows.
- added WARC bands to the list of bands in the log entry and
editing windows.
- outgoing exchange is now visible and editable in the log entry
window.
- log entry times can be converted from local to GMT.
version 1.2.0, 5 Feb 2002:
- increased the available CW speeds up to 40 wpm.
- added an optional default received exchange.
- added a "confirm edits" option to allow automatic
saving of log edits.
- added numerous features to the log editing window, including
more navigation buttons, a Find capability, and the ability to
delete log entries.
- enhanced keyboard navigation capability between text fields.
- added trap for gracefully preventing the opening of logs
created with older versions.
- added a Dupe? button to the log entry window when serial sender
is in use.
- changed the automatic dupe warning to show only for two seconds.
- added the ability to customize the QSOB4 message.
- added a '73' button to the log entry window.
version 1.2.1, 16 Feb 2002:
- fixed a bug with automatic dupe checking.
- added an option for selecting 2x2 CQ calls instead of 1x1.
version 1.2.2, 9 Mar 2002:
- fixed a conduit bug regarding illegal file name characters.
- moved the "dupe" and "not a dupe" popup
windows so they pop up in different places on the screen.
version 1.2.3, 21 Oct 2002:
- added support for using the Handspring Visor with a Serial CW
Sender. The CW Sender must be modified to provide +5V through pin
8 of its DB9M connector. Use a 270-ohm resistor connected between
the +5V supply and pin 8 of the DB9M to limit current to the
Visor.
version 1.2.4, 10 Nov 2002:
- in the log entry form, the callsign field is now cleared when a
dupe detected.
- added provision for a serial number in the default exchange
field. The # character is used to signal that a serial number (sequentially
incremented for each QSO) should be inserted at that location. If
leading zeroes in the serial number are desired, insert a string
of # characters equal to the minimum length of the serial number.
For example, if you want all numbers less than 100 padded with
leading zeroes so that the serial number is always at least three
characters, insert "###" in the exchange. In this case,
number less than 100 will be padded with one or two leading
zeroes, but numbers of 100 or greater will not.
version 1.2.5, 1 May 2004:
- added the ability to have the Serial Sender auto-repeat the CQ
at an interval specified on the CW Settings page.
- changed the format of the log text file created on the PC
during the HotSync operation. Now the frequency is recorded
instead of the band (e.g. "14" instead of "20m"),
the year for the date is given as two digits instead of four, and
the time is recorded as HHMM with no seconds and no colons. This
was done because the original format required manual manipulation
before it could be imported into the author's PC logger of choice
(XMLog, at www.xmlog.com).
version 1.5.0, 5 April 2006:
- modified so that GOLog would work with the Serial Sender on
Palm OS devices running PalmOS 5.0 and newer (as well as with
older Palms).
version 1.5.2, 3 Sept 2006:
- modified the log entry screen so that a keyboard user can hit
the Log It! button by pressing Enter.
- Fixed a bug with Palm OS 5.x where the "All Caps"
option for log entry didn't work
version 1.6.0, 4 Nov 2006:
- added a "TU" button to the log entry screen to send
"TU" when using the Serial Sender.
- added the ability to allow dupes when logging.
Version 1.6.1, 1 July 2007:
- fixed a bug that caused log entries to be lost if the handheld
got reset while GOLog was running.
